Aaron Tyler became the de facto leader of Compton's Most Wanted in the late '80s, delivering some of the coldest, most matter-of-fact street narratives to come out of the city at their commercial peak in 1992. He crossed into film with a defining role in Menace II Society (1993) and later lent his voice to a well-known video game character, keeping the CPT sound relevant to a whole new generation without ever softening it.
